Album of the Week: K.R.I.T. Wuz Here
This was my first introduction to Big K.R.I.T. and it left a lasting impression. Not only is he an excellent wordsmith, but he produces nearly all of his songs as well. K.R.I.T. is straight out of Mississippi and therefore his southern influence shines above all else, but he is not your typical southern rapper. Yes, he can make a down south slapper for the club or riding around, but he is also very conscious of the world around him and makes excellent songs about women, life, pain, and a host of other subjects. This mixtape gets a 5/5. Notable songs to listen to: Something, Children of the World, They Got Us, and Hometown Hero.
